Details

Nebraska disabled veterans who are 100% service-connected disabled may have their home's entire assessed value exempted from property taxes. Surviving spouses of qualifying veterans also qualify. Veterans whose home was substantially contributed to by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs are included.

Restrictions

100% service-connected veterans receive full exemption regardless of home value or income. Partially disabled veterans (non-service-connected) qualify under a sliding scale up to $50,000 or 120% of county average. File Form 458 with county assessor by June 30 each year.
