South Carolina issues military specialty license plates to eligible veterans and service members at little or no extra cost beyond regular registration fees. Qualifying categories include: disabled veterans, combat-related disabled veterans, Purple Heart recipients, Medal of Honor recipients, prisoners of war, National Guard, retirees, and others.
Restrictions
Applications processed by mail only to SCDMV Plates, PO Box 1498, Blythewood, SC 29016. Requires completed Form MV-37 plus DD-214 or applicable military documentation.
