Military spouses living in Maryland due to their service member's orders, but who are legal residents of a different state, may be exempt from Maryland income tax withholding on wages earned in Maryland, under the Military Spouses Residency Relief Act.
Restrictions
File Maryland Form MW507M with your employer to claim the exemption. The spouse must maintain legal residency in another state. Administered by the Maryland Comptroller (marylandtaxes.gov).
