Details

Idaho operates two state veterans cemeteries, one in Boise and one in Blackfoot, offering free burial and inurnment to eligible veterans. No Idaho residency is required. Services include a grave site, opening and closing of the grave, perpetual care, a government-furnished headstone or marker, a burial flag, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate, all at no cost to the family.

Restrictions

Spouses and dependent children of eligible veterans may also be interred. Guardsmen and reservists' interment fees are NOT paid by the VA, family is responsible. Pre-registration is available and encouraged. Blackfoot cemetery also available. Federal interment fees cover eligible veterans only.
