The Joining Forces Idaho program offers emergency financial assistance to Idaho veterans and their families for urgent needs such as rent, utilities, or car repairs. Unlike the standard Emergency Relief Grant, Joining Forces funds are drawn from a mix of state grants, local grants, and local charities and may provide support beyond the $1,500 ceiling in some circumstances.
Restrictions
Payments are made directly to the service provider (landlord, utility, repair shop), not to the veteran. Requires proof of income, employment status, and VA benefits. Submit application to JFIdaho@veterans.idaho.gov. Call (208) 780-1300 for more information.
