The Joining Forces Idaho program offers emergency financial assistance to Idaho veterans and their families facing a crisis such as an accident, job loss due to disability, or a catastrophic event. Covers urgent needs including rent, utilities, food, fuel, and car repairs. Surviving spouses and dependent children of eligible veterans also qualify. Funds are drawn from a mix of state grants, local grants, and local charities, and the award is decided case by case.
Restrictions
Payments are made directly to the service provider (landlord, utility, repair shop), not to the veteran. Requires proof of income, employment status, and VA benefits; applicants must be receiving or actively pursuing VA benefits. All pages of the form must be signed.
