North Dakota veterans, their spouses, and un-remarried surviving spouses facing financial strain can apply for needs-based grants funded by interest earned from the state's Veterans Postwar Trust Fund. Grants can cover essential medical, dental, optical, hearing, transportation, and housing costs, with an annual cap of $5,000 per applicant. Eligibility is based on North Dakota residency, veteran status, income and asset limits, and documented need.

Restrictions

Apply through a local Veteran Service Officer (VSO). Online application (SFN 54410) available. Separate from the IMPACT Grant (one-time, up to $5,000 for sudden emergencies).
