Missouri provides free specialty license plates to veterans with qualifying service-connected disabilities, as well as to former prisoners of war. These plates are issued by the Department of Revenue and serve as a recognition of service. Separate application from standard vehicle registration.

Restrictions

Apply using Form 4601. Requires proof of honorable discharge and qualifying disability documentation. Former POWs have their own free plate category. Standard registration fees still apply.
