Ohio permanently and totally disabled veterans and former prisoners of war receive free hunting licenses, fishing licenses, fur taker permits, deer/turkey permits, and wetlands habitat stamps every year, at no cost. Active-duty service members on leave may also hunt and fish without a license.
Restrictions
Apply using the 5-year free license application form through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. Eligibility requires VA-certified permanent and total disability plus honorable discharge.
