South Carolina veterans who are SC residents for at least one year and are receiving disability benefits from the VA are entitled to a free combination hunting and fishing license. The license covers freshwater fishing, saltwater fishing, state hunting, big game, wildlife management areas, and the migratory waterfowl permit. Valid for three years; lifetime license available for paraplegic or quadriplegic veterans.
Restrictions
Apply by emailing DisabilityLicense@dnr.sc.gov to receive a secure application. License mailed to home address after processing. Free deer tags automatically included.
