Qualifying disabled veterans in New York State can get a free E-ZPass account that allows unlimited travel anywhere on the New York State Thruway at no charge. The only requirement is having a fee-exempt vehicle registration from the DMV (which requires qualifying for a VA automobile/adaptive equipment grant).
Restrictions
Program run by the NY State Thruway Authority. Fee-exempt DMV registration is the qualifying gateway, disability percentage ratings and specialty plates alone do not qualify. Visit the Thruway Authority website for the application.
