Indiana disabled veterans who qualify for the property tax deduction but don't own real property can instead receive a credit of up to $70 on vehicle excise tax. The credit applies to up to two vehicles owned by the veteran.

Restrictions

Request an affidavit from the county auditor, then take it to the Bureau of Motor Vehicles to receive the credit.
