One set is issued at no charge with no annual registration or renewal fees. Plates are available with or without disabled parking privileges depending on the type of disability.
Restrictions
Disabled Veteran plates with parking privileges require Form 861 (disability certification from a physician) plus VA letter confirming 50%+ service-connected disability. Second and subsequent plate sets require full fees. Apply at any Alaska DMV.
