Veterans with a 100% permanent and total service-connected disability rating, or who received a federal government vehicle purchase grant, are exempt from paying the vehicle registration fee for one Disabled Veteran license plate. Former POWs and veterans who received a federal auto grant also qualify.
Restrictions
Application form DMV-48-D available from the WV Division of Motor Vehicles. Application must be certified by the WV Department of Veterans Assistance before submission. Authorized under WV State Code §17A-3-14.
