Honorably discharged Georgia veterans with qualifying disabilities can have up to $121,812 (2025 rate, indexed annually) of their home's assessed value excluded from state and county property taxes. The home must be the veteran's primary residence. The exemption extends to unremarried surviving spouses and minor children of qualifying deceased veterans.
Restrictions
Qualifying criteria include 100% VA-rated disability, unemployability rating, or specific limb/vision loss. Apply with county tax officials using the homestead exemption application. Amount indexed under 38 U.S.C. 2102.
