Illinois resident disabled veterans (100% service-connected disability, severe mobility disability, or former POW) and their immediate family when accompanied by the veteran are fully exempt from camping fees and admission fees at Illinois state parks managed by the Department of Natural Resources. Only a $10 utility fee applies at electric sites.

Restrictions

Requires a Veterans Affairs Disability Certification Card from an IDVA field office. Immediate family (spouse, minor children, grandchildren under 18) must be accompanied by the veteran.
