Details

North Dakota veterans with a service-connected disability of 50% or greater, and former prisoners of war, receive a free lifetime state park annual permit covering entrance to all North Dakota state parks and recreation areas. Veterans with any lesser service-connected disability (below 50%) are eligible for a discounted annual permit for $28. Must be a North Dakota resident.

Restrictions

Requires a VA Report of Benefit letter or a North Dakota DAV/POW license plate as proof. The federal Golden Access Passport is NOT accepted as proof for this program. Contact ND Parks Central Office at 701-328-5357 or parkrec@nd.gov; forms must be obtained in person.
