Kentucky veterans with at least a 50% service-connected disability rating can purchase a Disabled Sportsman's License at a heavily reduced fee (roughly 80% off the standard rate). The license covers hunting, fishing, deer permits, turkey permits, migratory bird/waterfowl, and trout, essentially a full outdoor package in one license.

Restrictions

Kentucky resident veterans must obtain a disability authorization from Kentucky Fish and Wildlife first. Submit a VA letter confirming at least 50% service-connected disability. Authorization is valid for 3 years. License renews annually through end of February.
