Low-income Massachusetts veterans and their dependents can receive monthly financial help for food, housing, clothing, fuel, and medical care through the state's Chapter 115 program. The amount is calculated based on family size and total income. Dependents of deceased veterans receive the same benefits as if the veteran were still alive.
Restrictions
Means-tested, administered under M.G.L. ch. 115. Apply through your local city or town Veterans Service Officer (VSO). Also covers outpatient behavioral health services, substance use treatment, and prescriptions as of the HERO Act (2024).
