Details

Arizona law (A.R.S. § 42-11111) exempts the primary residence of a veteran with a service-connected disability from property tax. Veterans rated 100% service-connected disabled qualify for a full property tax exemption with no income limit. Veterans rated below 100% receive a partial exemption proportional to their disability rating, subject to income limits.

Restrictions

Apply through the county assessor's office. The surviving spouse of a 100% service-connected disabled veteran may continue to claim the full exemption as long as they use the property as their primary residence and do not remarry. Non-service-connected disabled veterans with a 100% VA rating also qualify for a partial exemption.
