Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend
Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend: Veterans Residency Credit for PFD Eligibility
Alaska veterans who served outside the state while on active duty may still claim continuous Alaska residency for Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) eligibility purposes.
Details
Alaska veterans who served outside the state while on active duty may still claim continuous Alaska residency for Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) eligibility purposes. Military absence does not break the residency requirement. This allows veterans to maintain their annual PFD payment (a state dividend paid to all Alaska residents) even during deployments.
Restrictions
Applies to active duty, National Guard, and Reserves called to active service. The PFD itself is available to all Alaska residents; this benefit ensures military service does not break eligibility. Annual PFD amount varies.
