Georgia veterans with a 100% permanent and total service-connected disability rating are completely exempt from the annual property tax or title tax on one vehicle they own. Purple Heart and Medal of Honor plate holders are also exempt. The exemption applies to whichever tax is applicable, the annual registration ad valorem tax or the title ad valorem tax at time of purchase.

Restrictions

Exemption now applies even without the Disabled Veteran plate, veteran may choose any veteran specialty plate. Contact county tax office to apply.
