Details

West Virginia residents on active military duty do not owe state income tax on their active duty military pay while serving. This applies to service members whose legal state of residence (domicile) is West Virginia.

Restrictions

Service members with WV domicile who spent more than 30 days in the state must still file a resident return, but active duty pay is a decreasing modification.
